EXODUS Sign With NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS

August 28, 2003

Legendary San Francisco Bay Area thrashers EXODUS have officially signed with Nuclear Blast Records. The group's much-anticipated comeback CD, "Tempo Of The Damned", was recorded at Prairie Sun and Tsunami studios in Northern California with producer Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, SKINLAB, ARCH ENEMY) and is scheduled for release on February 2, 2004 — the two-year anniversary of late EXODUS frontman Paul Baloff's passing.

"All fans of 'Bonded by Blood', 'Pleasures of the Flesh' and 'Fabulous Disaster', who have been waiting for some classic Bay Area thrash from the H-team (guitarists Gary Holt & Rick Hunolt) will be freaking out on songs like 'Blacklist', 'War Is My Sheppard' [sic], [and] 'Shroud of Urine'," according to an official press release. "This new album will be another classic album in the catalogue of EXODUS!!!" A limited-edition single, containing the track "War Is My Sheppard" will be available for sale on the group's upcoming "Bonded by Metal Over Europe" tour in October and via Nuclear Blast Mailorder. Other tracks tentatively set to appear on the long-awaited follow-up to 1992's "Force Of Habit" include "Tempo of the Damned" (download 44-second MP3 clip here),"Culling the Herd", "Scar Spangled Banner", "Sealed With a Fist", "C.O.T.C. (Crime Of The Century)", "Forward March", "Throwing Down", "Impaler" and "Death Row".
